KnoxRides — Privacy Policy

When you book a ride through KnoxRides, we collect:

• Full name
• Phone number
• Email address (optional)
• Pickup and dropoff addresses
• Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — KnoxRides does not store your full card number)

We use this information to:

• Confirm and schedule your ride
• Send you trip-related text messages and emails (booking confirmations, driver arrival notifications, trip updates, receipts, and cancellation notices)
• Process payment for your ride through Stripe
• Improve our service

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

• Stripe, to process payments securely (see Stripe's Privacy Policy at stripe.com/privacy)
• Our drivers, limited to the information needed to complete your ride (name, pickup/dropoff location, phone number for coordination)
• Google Places and OpenRouteService, to look up addresses and calculate routes and fares. These services process location data according to their own privacy policies (Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy).

If you provide your phone number and opt in during booking, KnoxRides will send you text messages related to your ride. Message frequency varies based on rides booked. Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile phone number and opt-in status will not be shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for assistance.

We retain your ride and account information for as long as needed to provide our service and comply with legal and tax obligations.

You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. You can request that we delete your information by contacting us at fvarizas@gmail.com, subject to any records we're required to keep for legal or tax purposes.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including secure payment processing through Stripe. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

KnoxRides may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
